City sis here! I have never been a fan of cauliflower in my 27 years of life, but these babies are so good! Not only do I love these but so do my kids! I make mine with gluten free flour since my son is gluten intolerant. Although, you can use whatever kind you want. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are so easy make and they make a great snack, dinner, or appetizer.
Crispy Cauliflower BBQ Bites
1 head of Cauliflower (cut into bite size pieces)
3/4 cup of gluten free flour
3/4 cup non dairy milk (I used unsweetened almond)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp seasoning salt
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3/4 cup Barbecue Sauce
Preheat oven to 450F. In a medium size bowl, combine flour, milk, and seasonings. Whisk together until smooth.
Toss cauliflower into batter making sure to coat each piece completely. Place battered cauliflower onto baking sheet lined with non stick foil or parchment paper.
Bake for 15 minutes. Turn over, then bake for another 15 minutes.
In the meantime, combine barbecue sauce with a little water (water is optional, it just makes the sauce more of a glaze). When the cauliflower in done, remove from the oven and toss in the barbecue sauce mixture.
Place cauliflower back onto the baking sheet and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until it becomes crispy.
