DAY #2 BUTTERSCOTCH HAYSTACKS
I never tasted a butterscotch haystack until my husband and I were dating. I know, after tasting one, I realized I had been missing out all these years. My mother-in-law makes them every year and they are delicious. The butterscotch chips, creamy peanut butter, and crunchy chow mein noodles are divine! They are my kiddos favorite Christmas goody and I always have to hide a batch in the freezer. I hope you enjoy making these easy and yummy treats.
1 cup of butterscotch morsels
1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
2 1/2 cups of chow mein noodles
- Melt butterscotch morsels and peanut butter in a saucepan on low.
- Stir constantly until butterscotch and peanut butter are smooth and creamy.
- Add noodles 1 cup at a time coating all the noodles with the mixture.
- Drop candy by forkfuls onto parchment or wax paper.
- Cool until set.
