Tackling my spring cleaning

“Less is more.” – Mies Van Der Rohe

Hi everyone! Spring is just around the corner and you know what that means…Spring cleaning! Ok, so realistically I’m always doing some sort of spring cleaning, usually it consists throwing out everything we own. Although, within a few months it all seems to creep back in. (Insert the annoyed and angry emoji face here)

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupe

As some of you might know I have been exploring minimalism for the past few years. At this point, I’ve decided to become relentless with the things we own and what we allow into our house/lives. Especially because I want our kids to learn the importance of gratitude and how to be content.

“Simplicity involves unburdening your life, and living more lightly with fewer distractions that interfere with a high quality life, as defined uniquely by each individual.” – Linda Been Pierce

Over the next couple months I will be cleaning out our house room by room, until hopefully (fingers crossed) I am satisfied with what we have left. Each week I will post about it and do my best to have before and after pictures. I’ll throw in some organizing and cleaning tips, as well as homemade cleaning recipes, and tips to getting rid of things taking up space in the house.

If any of you decide to join in let us know! We would love to see your pictures, or let us in on any tips and tricks you find useful! Have a fantastic day.
